Widespread occurrence of banana root-knot nematode disease was found in Zhangzhou, Fujian during 2008-2011. Both tissue cultured plantlets and field plants of banana were infected.3 species were verified according to the species identification by morphological characteres, Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, M. arenaria, and M. incognita was the dominant specie in Fujian province. To the field plants, mobidity rate of the root-knot nematode disease was 76.9% from 117 isolates of the banana root in Zhangpu, Changtai, Nanjing, Xiangcheng. Moreover, the rates of M. incognita was 72.6%, M. javanica was 41.0%, M. arenaria was 39.3%.To the banana tissue cultured plantlets ,detection was made from 267 isolates from 12 cultivation nurseries in Zhangzhou, the detection rates of M. incognita was as high as 94.8%, M. javanica was 86.9%, M. arenaria was 10.9%. Almost every districts had been infected with mixed population of the Meloidogyne spp. and M. incognita was the dominant species.154 isolates of fungi were isolated from the banana root-knots, 7 genera were indentified: Fusarium, Paecilomyces, Aspergillus, Mucor, Penicillium, Cunninghamella, Trichoderma. Fusarium was the dominant population with the rate of 32.5%.Inoculation tests of Meloidogyne spp. and F. oxysporum or F. solani caused the composite infection in banana, intensified the banana fusarium wilt and root rot.The result of potting test illustrated the obvious control effects of 5% cadusafos(GR) and Paecilomyces lilacinus PL89 to Meloidogyne spp. , promoted root formation and reduced the disease index on banana. There was no new root-knot after 60 days in the banana root control with 5% cadusafos(GR). The disease index of the banana root- knot nematode disease was down to 10 after 90 days of control with Paecilomyces lilacinus PL89 , the controls effect in potting test was 69.6%. Base on these result, the integrated control measure to banana root-knot nematode disease have been proposed.
