In the 1950s, in order to change new China's backward economical appearance, a nationwide movement of study the Soviet Union was launched. This movement lasted for a long time, it started from the founding of the nation until the late 50s and affected a wide rang, involving economic, political, military, cultural and educational fields. In the 1950s, new China studied the Soviet Union's movement is a major event in the history of Sino-Soviet relations, and had a profound influence to the new China's construction and development.This paper focuses on studying the advanced experience of Soviet agriculture to elaborate why the new China learned the advanced experience of the Soviet Union's agriculture, introduces the advanced agricultural experience of the Soviet Union and through the study how can we apply these experiences in practical work, such as agricultural science and technology, production, management, education, water conservation, and so on.The first part elaborates why new China learned the advanced experience of Soviet agriculture. When the new China was established, its agricultural productivity suffered great destruction and the agricultural economy developed slowly by war's destructions. It does not meet the needs of the situation of national economic construction. The Soviet Union's great achievements in agriculture and at the same time the international confrontation between two camps. How to consolidate the new people's regime. These factors have urged us to study the Soviet Union's advanced agricultural experience. In order to expedite the restoration and development of the national economy, on one hand, the government of China sent out the agricultural delegation to the Soviet Union to study agriculture many times. On the other hand, they invited a large number of Soviet experts to come to China to instruct. Thereby promoting the process of agricultural modernization in China.The second part describes the experience of Soviet agriculture in order to further learning, learning from the Soviet Union leaders called on the community through newspaper articles, the mainstream media have done a lot of publicity. In the Tsarist Russia time, its economy and technology began to develop. After the October Revolution, the Soviet government paid more attention to agricultural technology development and obtained many world level achievements in scientific research in the basic research aspect and established a sound developed agricultural scientific research education system.The fourth part discusses the new situation of China's study on Agriculture of the Soviet Union advanced experience. In the learning process, new China was not entirely copy from the Soviet Union's experience, but flexible used of considering its own national conditions. New China broken the shackles of the Soviet Union's experience and developed it.The fifth part is the evaluation of the new China's study of the Soviet Union's advanced agricultural experience. Because of the different angle of observation, different people have different view on the movement of the new China studied the Soviet Union's advanced agricultural experience. The establishment of new China was a major event in modern history and it built the foundation for Chinese nation's development. But it established above a regime that was very backward in productivity. In order to consolidate its own state power and rapidly develop its own country's economy, the new China launched the movement to learn form the Soviet Union. This movement trained large quantities of useful talented people for the new China's development and promoted our country's socialist modernization.The Soviet Union built socialism's experience was according to its own country's actual situation, which may not be entirely suited to China's actual conditions; therefore, there were unavoidably some problems in the process of learning the Soviet Union's agricultural experience. At the beginning of the process of studying the Soviet Union, this problem did not display obviously.With the process of learning, we gradually recognized this problem. So we began to realize that we must unify our country's actual situation with reference to learning, and pay attention in the process of digestion and absorption instead of blindly copied from the Soviet Union, which served for the reality productive forces for our country's socialist construction.Therefore, by summing up the history of China learned the Soviet Union's advanced agriculture experience in the 1950s, we realized that:when we learn other countries' advanced experience, we must embark from our own country's actual situation. In the process of learning, we must pay attention to digestion and absorption, we can't blindly copy from other countries, we must transform other countries'advanced experience into our country's actual productive forces, we must carry on the unceasing innovation in the study to create the economic development pattern that suit our own country.
