Nowadays, with the rapid development of the figures forestry, using the visualization techniques and virtual technology to simulate the growth of tree and forest management process is very important. But the obvious biology is not so close to the structure of tree, it needs development such as a tree-dimensional visualization software which based on data mapping. This study was performed in Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis Sieb) plantations in muling, mudanjiang, heilongjiang province. Based on stem and branch analysis, data of trunks and branches of the variable factors (included height of tree, diameter, depth into crown, branch length, branch azimuth) were collected from 18 sample trees in 14 plots in 2008. The three-dimensional visualization dynamic graphics simulation system of Korean pine was established on the developing platform of VC++6.0 language and OpenGL. Finally, with the simulation of forest growth conditions, achieving Three-dimensional visualization graphics simulated and forest scene drawing that take Pinus koraiensis Sieb as an example.This paper use the developing platform of VC++6.0 language and OpenGL library as its programming tool, and developed the Three-dimensional visualization software. Major research work are as follows:1,Through the research of development of three-dimensional visualization techniques and methods of simulation model, analyzing the inadequate and flawed of three-dimensional visualization, making the technical methods of simple geometrical modeling technology based on geometric growth model and actual measure data. It gets better effect of visualization which made the foundation for the application of forest management and planning.2,Trough the way of random fractals to generate the three dimensions and using the texture map technology and box method to draw the surface of third dimension, it established a simple virtual environment.3,Puting external the 3D tree model into the visualization system, to achieve the establishment of the forest rapidly.
