The experiment used a completely randomized design with irrigation as the test factors, set four different water treatments, which were 100% to 80% soil field capacity, 80% to 60%, 60% to 40%, 40% moisture content.Withering to three kinds of cool-season turfgrass for the test material.Through field experiment, we studied the effects of moisture treatments on turfgrass evapotranspiration, lawn and turf biomass integrated quality apearance. The followings were the results obtained from the study:1. On different water treatments the turfgrass ET rate showed a similar trend of treatmentⅠ>Ⅱ>Ⅲ>Ⅳ, and the differences were significantly influenced (P<0.05). In July the three cool season turfgrass evapotranspiration had most, then three turfgrass evapotranspiration decreased. The turfgrass had minimum evapotranspiration On October. The evapotranspiration of three cool-season turfgrass and water treatments were significantly related (P<0.05).2. Kentucky bluegrass and perennial ryegrass turf visual quality were not significant (P>0.05) between treatmentⅠandⅡ, but both significantly different withⅢandⅣ(P≤0.01).Tall fescue lawn visual quality was significantly different between four water treatments (P≤0.01).3. As the decreasing of water, the underground and upground biomass of three variety were all decreased.TreatmentⅠ>Ⅱ>Ⅲ>Ⅳ. There was no significant difference between upground biomass of tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass on treatmentⅠandⅡ(P>0.05).The underground biomass of tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrassin treatmentⅡhigher than treatmentⅠ.The changing trend of perennial ryegrass in 4 treatment was TreatmentⅠ>Ⅱ>Ⅲ>Ⅳ.4. Through analyzed the relation between ET and turf qualitys of three cool-season turfgrass on different treatments, we found the turf quality had a critical value in theⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ.When the ET is smaller than this critical value, the lawn quality increases with the ET; when larger than the critical value, the turf quality was not increased. In treatmentⅣ, with the turfgrass evapotranspiration increased gradually, the turf quality decreased.5. The CROPWAT model was used to simulate the irrigation schedules for the cool season turfgrass species. The results show that in sufficient irrigation level the irrigation quantity required for cool-season is about 436.3mm, irrigation time is 16; in the restrained irrigation level the irrigation quantity required for cool-season is about 389.7mm, irrigation time is 24.The results are expected to provide some scientific implications for the best irrigation management practices of the cool season turfgrasses in Beijing area.
