This paper consists of four parts. The first chapter is a summary which sketches the development of the protection of origin at home and abroad, and the literature review about features of origin and the necessity of studying origin features of crops. It also includes contents of the study. In the second chapter, the amounts of Potassium, Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Manganese in the same area during different periods were detected and analyzed with Wet Digestion–Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. By drawing some curve charts of the distribution of these elements'proportion accordingly, it is found that the amount variation of some elements in soil basically agrees with growth cycle of crops. So this result can provide certain base for the research of the relativity between nutrient levels of crops and the amount of metallic elements in soil. The third chapter measured the amounts of Potassium, Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Manganese both in wheat of different areas during the same period and in the soil where the wheat grows with Wet Digestion-Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. By drawing charts of the amounts of each element for comparison, and analyzing the relativity of their amounts in wheat and soil, it was found that there is extremely significant relativity between the amount of each element in wheat and that in soil. The result can provide reliable scientific proof for identifying origins of wheat. In the fourth chapter, the amounts of Potassium, Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Manganese both in maize of different origins and in the soil where the maize grows were measured with Wet Digestion-Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. The result of analyzing the proportions of each element shows that there are significant different proportions of some elements, which provides reference for further determination of the origin of crops.
