Study On The Canine High-energy Nutrition Injection

The canine high-energy nutrition injection, mainly formed by three kinds of nutrients essential for the animal's body- sugar, fat and amino acids according to their energy proportion, is a kind of intravenous injection. Try to prove that the canine high-energy nutrition injection can provide the body fluid and nutrition and enhance physical fitness and disease resistance, and thereby provide scientific research data for its exploitation and application, several experiments were conducted in this study and corresponding results were gained as following:(1) The canine high-energy nutrition injection is proved safe while used in short times because of the acute toxicity test conducted in mice, the maximum tolerated dose is above 6.7ml/20g and no abnormal symptoms and pathological changes are observed.(2) Preparing fatigue model through weight-loaded swimming to observe the exhaustion of swimming time of mice and the levels of blood glucose, urea nitrogen and level of glycogen after 90 minutes, swimming.The results of the anti-fatigue effect test of mice show this injection has a function of increasing the swimming time and the swimming animal's blood glucose and level of glycogen and of reducing the protein's decomposition in body, and thereby delay the occurrence, development of fatigue and enhance physical fitness.(3) Establish trauma model in mice and observed the results of the canine high-energy nutrition injection's parenteral-nutritional support in the above model, he experimental results show that this injection has a certain effect on the experimental trauma mice's nutritional status's recovery, immunity's enhancement and wound healing.(4) The test of the canine high-energy nutrition injection's influence on the nutritional status of fully-starved dogs is conducted, taking blood in vein and doing blood tests and blood biochemistry test, and then observe the experimental dogs'nutritional status, liver and kidney function, blood-fat level, etc., and it is found that this canine high-energy nutrition injection can improve the fully-starved dogs'nutritional status, which means significantly to the clinical nutrition support of dogs.(5) Studies on pathological model of canine parvovirus disease and the results of the canine high-energy nutrition injection's adjuvant therapy effect test show the cure rate is 75%, better than the ordinary conventional therapy (50%), which lays a good foundation for the prevention of the sick dogs'secondary infection and also avoid heat inadequateness and iatrogenic hyperglycemia caused by the blood infusion. Therefore, the canine high-energy nutrition injection's adjuvant therapy effect to canine parvovirus disease is obvious.Overall, this study by observing the canine high-energy nutrition injection's functions in its effect to the mice's anti-fatigue test and acute toxicity test, in its nutritional support to trauma test, in its nutritional effect to fully-starved dogs test and in its adjuvant therapy effect to canine parvovirus disease test, proved that the canine high-energy nutrition injection can provide the body fluid and nutrition and enhance physical fitness and disease resistance, etc.
