Agricultural Universities in China have brought up large quantities of talents for the construction of Chinese socialism as well as for the development of nation's Plant Protection project. In the period of planned economy, all University students were recruited by the government, and jobs were assigned by the government as well for the graduates. In the years after 1993, the assigning system for the graduates has been changed;especially in June, 1996, the Ministry of Education expanded the recruitment scales of Universities in China, from then on, the Chinese higher education marched into "popular" era and the number of Universities student having been increased greatly, at the same time, the employment pressure for the graduates appeared gradually and is becoming worse and worse. In order to match the talents requirement of modern market economy, solve the urgent employment problem for the graduates in Agricultural Universities in China whose major are Plant Protection, so the talents training whose major are Plant Protection in Agricultural Universities is studied in this paper.The results show that the main reason of the employment difficulties for the graduates whose major are Plant Protection lies in the following aspects: the influences caused by the social transformation, traditional talents training system is not consistent with the whole tendency of the social transformation;these limitations caused by the higher educational system itself, educational system inertia is paradoxical with the high demand of graduates in the talents market;economic development in China is imbalanced and human resources arrangement is irrational, the phenomena of "talents profusion" appears in large cities, but the undeveloped area unable attract the attention of theses graduates;the industrial development is imbalanced among different department bodies, giving rise to the imbalanced requirement of different kinds of talents;the expand recruitment scale of Agricultural Universities in China lead to the talents provision more than the requirement in the talents market;the results caused by the illogical arrangement of subjects and specialties, and the separation of teaching mode from the market requirement, as a result, the graduates can not meet the needs of social requirement;employment concept is unreasonable, high degree is placed more priority and actual skill is despised;the ill social ethos interfere with the development of the talent market;the occupation orientation are not practical among the graduates, some of the graduatescannot acquaint themselves with the social requirement;new employment problems appear for reason of the difficulties of these female graduates on condition of the market economy.Based on the reasons of employment difficulties for these graduates whose major are Plant Protection, the following countermeasures are proposed: the government bodies should play an important role in the market system construction, market policies construction and cadre system innovation in order to construct a employment platform which in favor of the graduates to look for jobs. Change the role of government bodies, reform the employment system, activate working system and dredge employment channels, lead the graduates find jobs successfully. The University and College should accelerate the teaching innovation, boosting the innovation and of majors arrangement, subjects construction, cultivation mode, courses system, teaching contents and teaching techniques under the guide of employment;taking any measures with aim of providing more employment opportunities for graduates;to establish a feedback system which is consistence with the market requirements;to erect new cultivation system for University students;inspire the employment self-confidence of graduates by all means;instruct the graduates to change the ill employment concept and match the current conditions;occupation layout for the University students should attach more importance. The graduates should change the former dependent ideas and establish logical employment concept, adjust the employment expectation.
