As we know, some scientists have done a lot of research work on eco-suitability evaluation and planting regionalization of tobacco, but we can also find out that their studies is often limited in one or several factors, which are almost the climatic factors. On the other hand, we know that many other factors can influence the tobacco growth and develop. Taking into account these factors, they are very complex and numerous even impossible if we continue to use the previous ways and the routine means. With development of the computer, especially rapid progress of GIS, it is possible to consider so many factors to evaluate the eco-suitability of tobacco.On the one hand, the analysis of great deal of spatial datas is needed for the eco-suitability evaluation and planting regionalization of tobacco, on the other hand, the comparison of all kind of the evaluation project is also needed in order to support the establishment of reasonable project. Based on the integrated comment of the theories, methods and research status of suitability evaluation at home and abroad, and according to the investigation and analysis of ecological conditions (such as climate, landform, soil) and tobacco quality in Henan province, this thesis studied eco-suitability evaluation of tobacco in Henan province with technical platform of GIS and evaluation cells formed by overlapping multi-maps. Finally, the application of results to establish regionalization project can direct local tobacco production. Main results are as follows:1 This thesis selected 10 evaluation indexes according to the relationship between tobacco growth and ecological conditions. They are average temperature during maturing stage, rainfall during fast growing stage, sunlight hour in field growing period, available day of field growing period per year, physiognomy type, soil texture, thickness of soil horizon, pH (potential of hydrogen), organic material, chlorine content in soil.2 This thesis established a mathematics model about eco-suitability evaluation of tobacco. Leaded by multi-indexes fuzzy integrated evaluation of fuzzy mathematics, and furthermore, the model introduces method of AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) to value the weight.3 In GIS by adopting the established evaluation model of the ecological suitability, the...
