| Based on the project《Numerical simulation for water flow and solute transport through soils》supported by Science and Technology Creation Foundation of Xi'an University of Technology, numerical simulation for solute transport through layered soils by using the characteristic finite element method is mainly studied and some valuable results are obtained as follows:1. Under the conditions of infiltration and evaporation, the numerical models of 1-D water flow through layered soils is constructed by the characteristic finite element method and the calculated result is exact.2. The numerical model of 1-D solute transport through layered soils is established by the characteristic finite element method. And the numerical simulation is performed. It can be seen from the results that the numerical simulation results can perfectly meet for the demand of practical work.3. For the advection-dispersion model of 1-D reaction solute transport through layered soils with depth-dependent first-order degradation and depth-dependent linear equilibrium sorption under steady state flow, the numerical model is established by the characteristic finite element method. Using the numerical model, the numerical calculations for the two supposed test cases are performed. It can be see from the results that the numerical calculation accord with laws, and the numerical model can perfectly meet for the demand of practical work. |
