Neonicotinoide insecticides as nicotinic acetylcholine receptor inhibitors have attracted increasing attention because of their safety, low toxicity, wide range of activities and high potency.In order to find lead compounds containing pyridine moiety, using 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine as the starting material, we designed and synthesized novel cis and trans title compounds (I) by bringing the pyridine, pyrazole and 1,3,2-dioxaphosphinane moieties into a molecular framework. Also, we designed and synthesized a type of novel double substituted pyridylmethyl imidazolidine (II) utilizing the structure of Imidacloprid as the model. The structures of all target compounds prepared have been confirmed by ~1H NMR, IR, EI-MS spectroscopy, elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis. Their properties of physical, chemical and spectroscopy of these compounds were systematically investigated. The molecular formulas of the title comounds can be shown as follows respectively.(1) Cis and Trans 5-Amino-1-(4-substitutedphenyl-5,5-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxaphosphinan-2-yl)-3-(6-chloro-pyridin-3-yhnethylamino)-4-cyano(ethoxycarbonyl)-li/ -pyrazoles.(2) [1,3-Bis- (6-Chloro-pyridin-3ylmethyl) -2-substituted-ylidene]-imidazolidine.
