Study On The Root Distribution Characteristic And Root Biomass Of Ulmus Pumila In Yan ErWo Scenery Site

First, the growing states of ancient ulmus pumila, has been systematically grasped by investigating and recording ,by analysing the soil , by collecting natural data and by supplementary survey of the Yan erwo ancient woods at the southern outskirts of Urumqi.Second, in July and August, the distribution characteristic of root system and the specific root distribution location at all levels of four sample trees were investigated in order to explore the horizontal and vertical distribution of the root system. So as to improve the efficiency of irrigation, provide the reason for scientific methods of irrigation and the reference and help to the protection and rejuvenation of ancient trees in Xinjiang.
