| One-year-old cutting of three clones of Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina J841, J842, J1011 and Salix babylonica were taken as the experimental materials. Salix babylonica was taken as check. Effects of the continuous soil drought stress on physiological characters and anatomical structures of Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina clones were studied. Drought resistance of Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina Clones were validated by simulateing of PEG . Some results had been gained as the following:(1) During the drought, three clones of Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina'and Salix babylonica' physiology characters occurred evidently change. As long as the increasing of stress intensity and lengthening of stress durations, the contents of chla, chlb(except for Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina of J1011) and chl(a+b) appeared an obvious declining trend with different degrees for Salix babylonica as well as three clones of Salix babylonica×S. alba-vitellina.(2) In contrast to CK, the membrane permeability and the content of malonaldehyde both showed a trend of increasing. In contrast to CK, superoxide dismutase, peroxide enzyme and catalase showed a trend of increasing for Salix babylonica, but appeared different change trend for three clones of Salix babylonica×S. alba-vitellina. Superoxide dismutase occurred a increasing-declining trend for J841as well as the same trend of J841 for J1011. Superoxide dismutase occurred a increasing-declining-increasing-declining trend for J842.Peroxide enzyme occurred a increasing-declining trend, catalase occurred a declining-increasing-declining trend for J841; Peroxide enzyme occurred a increasing-declining-increasing trend, catalase occurred a increasing-declining-declining trend for J842; Peroxide enzyme occurred a increasing-declining-increasing-declining trend, catalase occurred a increasing-declining trend for J1011.(3) During drought stress, in constrast to, the contents of proline appeared a increasing trend in three clones of Salix babylonica×S. alba-vitellina, Salix babylonica. In the later stress days, souble sugar and soluble protein appeared increasing for Salix babylonica as well as J841,but reversed for J1011.Souble sugar appeared increasing trend for J842, but souble protein appeared decling trend for J842.(4) The change of root vigour diversity were distinct for different clones of Salix babylonica×S.alba-vitellina as well as Salix babylonica after drought stress.The effect of drought stress on root vigour of those from high to low are as followings:J1011 > J842 > J841> Salix babylonica. |
