Soil wind erosion is the process that loose soil is blown, carried and deposited by the drive of wind, and that the process of frication of the particles on the soil surface. The essential of soil wind erosion is the process of erodible soil particles and nutrition matter are blown by wind. In China the area that was exposed to wind erosion is more than one half of total area, which distribute in the arid and semi-arid area of North. Hexi Corridor in Gansu province is one of the most serious area where soil wind erosion are often taking place, because of its long-term conventional tillage and prevalence of northwester. The effects of different conservation tillage treatment on the factors of soil wind erosion and the relationship between them were studied though the field experiment and wind tunnel. The results are summed up as below:1.Effects of climate factors on soil wind erosionThe experiment site is at Wuwei country, which lies in the east part of Hexi Corridor. In this area, index of soil erosion climate factors revealed trendline of conic: the vale value occurred on autumn and winter, but the peak value appeared on spring. The prevalence northwester take place during March,April and May each year and the maximum wind speed over10.0m/s. Infrequent rainfall and dry in Spring also create the potential opportunities for soil wind erosion occurring.2. Effects of different tillage treatments on results of wind tunnel experiment There was significantly negative relationship between Wind speed and roughness, and the significantly negative relationship also existed between the critical wind speed and roughness. To each tillage treatment, there was positive relationship between the wind-blownmass and wind speed. The magnitude order of wind-blownmass were as fellows: no-till with stubble retention (NTS)
