Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) was a new functional macromolecule material developed from in the middle of 1970's, and it had very strong abilities to absorb and retain water. So far, SAP was widely applied in industry, agriculture, architecture, medical treatment and hygiene and other realm.It was researched that the different weight ratable SAP and fertilizer (single fertilizer and compound fertilizer) reciprocally effected in the liquor. Result indicating, although SAP not only can retain water but fertilizer, its absorbability was reduced because of the fertilizer presence, the absorbability times gradually minished with the fertilizer concentration adding; but the urea made an exception for it was no-electrolyte fertilizer. The different fertilizer had different effect on the absorbability times of SAP when the fertilizer concentration was same, the degree that the ammonium fertilizer affected on SAP was deeper than that of potassium fertilizer; When the granule become small, the water-preserving capability of SAP was strong; SAP difficultly exerted its retaining water when SAP and fertilizer were mixed according to proportion.SAP could greatly affect the capability of fixing and releasing nutrition of soil. The present paper studied absorption-desorption influence of SAP on nitrogen, phosphor and potassium in three kinds zone soil, in order to confirm if SAP could keep fertility. It was testified self of SAP had good ability to absorb and release nitrogen, phosphor and potassium but when it was used in soil, this function badly debased. But compared to self of soil, use of SAP enhanced the ability of soil to absorb, fix and release nitrogen and potassium, that is to say, SAP could keep and delay fertility. Use of SAP increased the ability to soil to release phosphor, and decreased the ability to soil to fix phosphor. Therefore, validity of phosphor got improvement, thus validity of fertility was enhanced from another point of view. Summarized, SAP was used in the soil that is beneficial to fertility of soil, but its performances have yet required improvement.This paper also researched that SAP affected the ability of retaining nutrition in the three different texture soils. Result indicating, the ability of retaining nutrient had various degrees of advance when SAP was applied in soil; the ability was boosted by degree with the dosage of SAP adding; the effect of retaining nutrient was the best salience in the light texture soil, but it was no salience in the heavy texture soil; the nutrient content in the SAP applied soil was higher than that in the no SAP applied soil, so SAP possessed the remarkable retaining nutrient effect, then could enhance the ability of retaining nutrient for soil and decrease the nutrient leaching, and increase the biology validity of soil nutrient.
