| Diversity of landscape plants is the precondition of perfect plant landscape. The plant space composition and color composition is the key of wonderful plant landscape. Plant landscape of the green space of Shenzhen City is studied in the paper. Within two years, investigation was carried out on seaside vegetation, mountain vegetation, city forest, thirteen city parks and eleven different baddish inhabit districts to research into the diversity of landscape plants and plant landscape composition. The main conclusions are drawn as follows:1. Based on research of original vegetation in Shenzhen City, landscape plants are also studied in detail.There are 2200 vascular plants and wild plant 1461 thereinto. More than 750 landscape plants are used usually,which account for 34.1% of all of Shenzhen City's. The proportion of evergreen is quite high and there are lots of plants with beautiful flowers.The plant landscape is in subtropical zone style. Landscape plants are classified into many types according to their ornamental characters.2. The characters, inscape and classifiction of plant landscape space compsition are studied. The scale of plant space varies from hundreds metres to tens of centimeters.The feeling of them changes along with. The ratio of height and stadia is 1︰4, which is the critical quantity of the feeling of enclosing in existence. The scale of distant view is about 150～200 metres; The scale of mid-shot is about 70～100 metres and close-range view in 30 metres.The ratio of diameter of lawn and the height of surrounding plants is proper to chang from 3︰1 to 10︰1. The best stadia is 1.2 width or 3.7 height of plant landscape.3. Colorway theoris and color psychology are used to tutor plant landscape design.
