Lymphocyte is the immunocyte for specific immune function and acts key role in the process of immune response. It is an important component of defense system in body.A high-quality cDNA library was constructed from normal swine peripheral blood lymphocytes according to classical technique. The cDNA library contained 1.2×10~8 pfu/ml, and showed 95% of recombinant rate and 85% of inserted fragments ranging from 750bp~2000bp. From this cDNA library 1100 EST sequences were obtained by randomly sequencing. Cluster analysis revealed 152 contigs representing highly expressed genes and 619 singletons represented lowly expressed genes. The highly expressed genes included: Hemoglobin alpha subunit, rRNA intron-encoded homing endonuclease, proliferation-inducing gene 21, cytochrome oxidase subunit III, senescence-associated protein and Hemoglobin beta subunit.
