The objectives of the present study were carried out to determine the epidemiology of fascioliasis in water buffaloes and cattle by examined the gallbladder, study the life cycle of Fasciola spp in Galba pervia and identify the Fasciola spp by morphological and PCR.Gallbladders were obtained from the local abattoir, the pathological changes of the livers were observed during collected the gallbladders. The gallbladder examination was chiefly to check if there were liver worms or eggs in the gallbladder. The results was determined as follows: if flukes or eggs were founded in the cholecyst, it were signed Positive ; those which had pathological changes but no flukes or eggs were signed suspicious, and those no pathological changes , flukes or eggs were considered as negative.The results shew that 57.24% was positive, 28.96% was suspicious, only 13.8% was negative in water buffaloes.
