| This article included 4 experiments which were used to investigated the effect of Kuian-chun (one of quinoxaline- 1,4-dioxide derivative) on growth-promoting, feed consumption, reproductive endocrine, haematology and histology in rats. Select 8- week-old healthy Wistar rats 50, half male and half female, they were divided into five groups of including C(comparison group), IV(low dose group), III(middle dose group),II(high dose group) and I(highest dose group) randomly. Dissolved 98% Kuianchun original drug with 2% Tween-80, confected into 2.0 mg/ml (IV), 4.0 mg/ml (â…¢), 8.0 mg/ml (II), 16.0 mg/ml (I) solution with distilled water. The concentration of Kuianchun given to every group were 2.0 mg/ml (IV), 4.0 mg/ml (â…¢), 8.0 mg/ml(II), 16.0 mg/ml(I). The dose was 0.1 ml/20 g weight, C group was given the same dose 0.9% physiological brine.The method of given drug was pour stomach. The given dose was correspond with the experiment design, total lasted 40 days.Experiment 1: The impact of different level Kuianchun on growth-promoting and feed consumption of rats. During the experiment, test every group rats, weight in 0, 10, 20, 30, 40d, observed the weight variety, count the increasing weight; calculate the feed consumption of every day.The purpose was to study the effect of different level Kuianchun on growth-promoting and feed consumption of rats.The results showed that Kuianchun could obviously promote rats'growth at the dose of 10-20 mg/kg body weight which equaled to 100-200 mg/kg added in the feed. The growth promoting effect from15 to 30d, During the given drug times of 0 to 20d the feed consumption is lower.Experiment 2: Reproductive endocrine effect of different level kuianchun on rats. During the experiment test P4 and E2 concentration in female rat blood plasma, T in male rat blood plasma of every group in 0, 10, 20, 30, 40d. The results showed that the concentration of T in male rat blood plasma, P4 and E2 in female rat blood plasma were normal. They were no effects on reproductive endocrine at the dose of 10-80 mg/kg body weight.Experiment 3: The effect of different level Kuianchun on haematology of rats.During the experiment, collected blood sample in 0, 10, 20, 30, 40d.
