Four mature fine wool sheep with permanent rumen cannula were used in a 4×4 Latin-square experiment design to study the effect of different processing methods of corn on rumen fermentation , rumen degradabilities and digestibilities of DM,starch,NDF, and rumen gas productivity. The four parts of our experiments included deeply cracked corn (4mm diameter filter was used and the average particle was 816.67μm),moderate cracked corn (8mm diameter filter was used and the average particle was 1270.83μm),coarsely cracked corn (12mm diameter filter was used and the average particle was 1874.17μm) and steam flaking corn(processing method: treated with steam for 30min,density 390g/L).Trial 1. Rumen liquid was sampled at 2h,4h,6h and 8h before and after feeding. The rusults suggested that PH,concentration of NH3-N and VFA appeared similar change direction in all the four groups and were in normal range , not distinctly influenced at the same time points(P>0.05).But the concentrations of NH3-N 2h after feeding and propionic acid 4h after feeding were more or less higher than other groups after feeding steam flaking corn.Trial 2.The velocity of cracked corns appeared accordance with the diameter of corn particles,which meaned that the smallest particles were the fastest flowing group.And the velocity of moderate cracked corn,coarsely cracked corn and steam flaking corn was slower about 2.55%,4.40% and 6.94% than deeply cracked corn individually,but didn't appear obvious difference(P>0.05).The effects of different processing groups on rumen degradabilities of DM,NDF and starch were studied by nylon bags methods. The results showed that the moderate cracked corn,coarsely cracked corn and steam flaking corn could digest DM more effectively than deeply cracked corn, which meaned lower about 8.43%,14.21% and 8.31% individually,but didn't appear obvious differences(P>0.05).The starch digestivity of coarsely cracked corn was lower about 13.33% than deeply cracked corn ,meanwhile the rumen bypass starch rate was higher about 10.70%, obvious difference(P﹤0.05); While the moderate cracked corn and steam flaking corn showed lower level about 3.09%,4.89% in digestivity and higher level about 2.30%,3.02% than deeply cracked corn,but not obvious differences(P>0.05).All the groups didn't appear obvious effects on rumen digestivity (48h) of alfalfa DM and NDF.Trial.3 DM's digestibilities of Moderate cracked corn and steam flaking corn appeared higher level about 1.35% and 0.61% than deeply cracked corn individually, and coarsely cracked corn was...
