At present, the forest resource of our country has the traits like these: comparatively scanty, the percentage of coverage is low, its distribution is unbalanced and the forest structure is illogical.Because of long-term illogical exploitation and huge consumpation, the wood supply is extremely short now, and in the meanwhile the entironment is damaged badly. This status in Northwesten China is especially serious. The research on dendrology and wood science property of the main timber trees in Northwesten China can give not only scientific data for their multi-purpose benefits,processing as well as high-efficiency utilization,but also be very important for their sustainable development and utilization,as well as resource conservation.At the same time this research is an active response for the engineering of wild wood protection,it can play an important part in the wild wood protection and entironment improving in Northwesten China,it has greate meanings in forming a harmonious and beautiful entironment.On the basis of combining both dendrology and wood science property of the main timber trees together in Northwesten China, we organize the information into many detailed aspects like shape property,distributing property, ecological property ,biological property , forestry property ,wood conformation property , wood anatomic property ,wood physical property,wood-processing property ,wood chemical property ,wood environment property, utilization property and so on according to some principle,and then the database is built.Through carrying on detailed analysis and comparison on merit,disadvantage and applying field to the popular systematic architecture modes C/S (Client/Server) and B/S (Browse/Server) at present,we combine the two effectively and establish the diplex architecture of C/S mode and B/S mode.And eventually, with the theory of software engineering as well as database system, we develop the Information Management System of Main Timber Trees in Northwesten China based on diplex architecture model of C/S and B/S.This system not only meets the requirements for quick transmission and processing of huge tree and wood data,but also forms a specialized website of both tree and wood information successfully for the first time.The database for this system is built on the powerful Relational Database—SQL...
