Urban forest construction is an important portion of urban eco-environmental construction, and is also one of important support of urban sustainable development. The reasonable of constitution, configuration, utilization of urban forest landscape element is tie up with urban forest resource management ,eco-environmental improvement and protection, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. This paper discussed the protection of landscape in planning and construction, selecting Jiufeng urban forestry reserve in Wuhan city as a subject, using some landscape ecological theory and RS, GIS, discussed theory and method of landscape diversity analysis, researched landscape sensitivity of the reserve, provide the significative reference for landscape protection and construction, it is an attempt to practical using of landscape ecology. Based on the results of our research, the following conclusions were obtained:(l)According to soil utilization and landscape characteristic, Jiufeng urban forestry reserve was classified to six landscape element types, i.e. forest, nursery, deserted land, farmland, water area and construction land. The forest landscape was matrix of the reserve, which shared 36.4% of the total area. Diversity index, dominance index and evenness index of the whole area was 2.3544, 0.2306, 0.9108, show that landscape diversity was rich, but dominance was not high, any type was dominant in the reserve. Patch dendity index and landscape separation index were showed that forest landscape patch fragmentation was high and farmland landscape patch fragmentation was low.(2)The main forest community type was coniferous forest, which was composed by Pinus massoniana, Pinus massoniana area was 62.25% of forest area, it resulted lower diversity and higher dominance in forest inner. With least landscape separation and less patch dendity, Pinus massoniana patch was fargoing distribution and good continuity, resulted habitat type and aspect monotony.(3)In the analysis of visual sensitivity, using 10° and 20° as the boundary to classify the slope sensitivity, the high sensitive region which slope above 20° share 11.4% of the total area of the reserve, mainly located in the middle and upside of the mountain; using...
