The sixteen grain feed maize hybrids were tested by using a Randomized Complete Block Design in 2003, ZhongDan 2 as antitheses. We had respectively tested their productivity stability and planting technology at the KongTong district, JinChuan and ZhuangLang counties in PingLiang city of GanSu province. We had studied their productivity stability and planting technology in the different ways; we had also studied the correlations and path of the main agricultural character on their ear.Through analyzing productivity we screened out five high yield varieties, they are SHENDAN10(V1),SHENDAN16(V8),C9904(V9),JINSUI2001(V16),XIEDAN969(V4).A ccording to the yield of a unit of area, the percent of increase production compared with antitheses and the main effect values, they have been arranged from highness to lowness:①C9904(V9),12695.1Kg/hm2,20.6%,2.88.②SHENDAN16(V8),12160.1Kg/hm2 ,15.53%,1.82.③SHENDAN10(V1),12145.1Kg/hm2,15.39%,1.78.④JINSUI2001(V16),12 060.0Kg/hm2,14.58%,1.61.⑤XIEDAN969(V4),11600.1Kg/hm2,10.21%,0.7.We had studied stability by the four different methods, the result of analyzing shows: The yield stabilities of these maize hybrids have the obvious difference in different growth environments. In the five high yield varieties, SHENDAN10(V1) are not only productive but also stable(Its coefficient of variation , suitable nature parameter , high stable coefficient and regression coefficient are comparatively more less).It's a perfect hybrid variety. It may be widely planted in the region. The stabilities of the other several varieties are comparatively weaker. Especially the stability of the JINSUI 2001 (V16) is the weakest among them. (Its variation coefficient, suitable nature parameter, high stable coefficient and regression coefficient are relatively higher).It is very sensitive to the environmental conditions. It has special adaptability. If there is the proper condition in their growth period they would be high yield. Its yield would seriously reduce without the proper condition. Their stability is arranged as follows: SHENDAN10(V1) > XIEDAN969(V4)>C9904(V9)>SHENDAN16(V8)>JINSUI 2001(V16)。The stability of C9821(V14) is the best of all, but its yield is lower (11325.0 Kg/hm2), and the increasing production compared with antitheses is up to 7.60%. The main effective value is up to 0.15. It may be not only commonly planted in the mountainous area. As breeding by crossing, it may be also regard as a basic material. Therefore, on the basis of the different level of the yield and the planting condition we should choice to plant different productive stability variety in the produce practice to exert their increasing production potential.Result of analyzing the correlation coefficient shows that correlation coefficients of the ear length etc ten characters with grain yield all are positive value. Among them, the correlation coefficient of the ear length with the grain yield is significant differences at p=0.01. The correlation coefficient of the ear diameter, the bald tip length and the bald tip percent with grain yield are negative, but not insignificant difference at p=0.05. The result of analyzing the path indicated that the directly path coefficient of the ear main character with grain yield are all positive value. In them, directly path coefficient of the row kernels per ear with grain yield is the largest (P=0.4981). Secondly the shelling percentage (P=0.4797), Thirdly the ear axis diameter (P=0.4590), Fourth the ear length (P=0.4040) ,the 100-kernel weight is the fifth of them (P=0.2792). So in the high grain yield breeding of the grain feed maize hybrids, we should carefully select the phenotype of the row kernels per ear, the rate of bearing kernel, the ear axis diameter, the ear length, the 100-kernel weight etc. Meanwhile we should suitably broaden the standard of selecting the characters of the diameter, the bald tip length and the bald tip percent of the ear etc. We should pay attention to the pertinence of different characters as well, and adjust with different agronomic characters to the best of all degree.Through studying of the planting technology shows: growing density of YUYU22,C9904, SHENDAN10 are 45000-52500 plants /hnf in the city, JINSUI 2001 is 52500-60000 plants /hm2, if they are covered with film that yield would heighten.
