In this paper the effects and functional mechanism of Greenmix on Eimeriatenellum in AA broilers were studied.Test A: the prevention effect of Greenmix on Eimeria tenellum was tested byartificial infection. 180 healthy broilers, one day of age, were chosen and randomlydivided into six groups. Both of negative and positive control just feed basic diet, the 1stgroup feed the basic diet adding with 10mg/kg Greenmix, the 2nd group feed basic dietadding with 20mg/kg Greenmix, the 3rd group feed basic diet adding with 60mg/kgSalinomycin, the 4th group feed basic diet adding with 5mg/kg Maduramicin. Except thenegative control, other groups were inoculated with 5×10~4 oocysts of Eimeria tenellumthrough craw by dropping tube. Estimate the anti-coccidioidin index by weight, clinicalobservation, score of bloody stools, feces egg counting and caecum lesion changing. The ACI of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and positive control group was 143.17, 161.56, 129.13,195.47 and 38.14, respectively. The anticoccidial activity of Greenmix was quite well.Test B: the inhibition function of Greenmix on Eimeria tenellum oocyst sporationwas tested in vitro. After Soaking the oocysts with 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.5% Greenmix solution, distilled water, and 0.1% chloroquantidi hydrochloride, respectively, at 27℃for sevendays, the oocysts were washed by centrifugation to discard the drug, then adding 2.5%bichromicum kalium solution and continue incubating for three days, after that checkingwith microscope. The inhibition function is obviously which can reduce the rate ofsporogony of coccidia oocyst.Test C: the application test of Greenmix in prevention and treatment the on Eimeriatenellum was done. 1600 healthy AA broilers of twelve days of age and randomlydivided into four groups, which were 20mg/kg Greenmix, 60mg/kg Salinomycin, coccidian vaccine and control. The results indicated that the group of Greenmix's dailyweight gain rate increased 76.5% (P<0.05), the feed-weight ratio reduced 21.3%(P<0.05), and the death and bothersome rate reduced 46%, which compare to thecontrol, and also the results were similar to the group of Salinomycin (P>0.05). Itilluminated that adding 20mg/kg Greenmix have excellent anticoccidial activity. Theanticoccidial function was preceded the group which adding 60mg/kg Salinomycin, andjust inferior to the group which adding 5mg/kg Maduramicin.
