This paper deals with the Neogreenia sophorica Wu, which is a new pest of Sophora japonica found in Dongcheng District of Beijing city in 2004. In order to find the best measure to control it, we made a scientific research about its biological characteristics and chemical test. The test results showed that, this pest has one generation per year, overwinters as the second instar nymphae (cysts) under bark on stem and branches. One adult female laid 105 eggs on average parthenogenesisly. The hatchability of egg is 47.53%. After fixation, the first instar nymphae always parasite inside phloem,1m above trunk base and branches the diameter more than 5cm.Chemical control in first instar dispersion periods is suggested. Among the four kinds of pesticide, 15% EC avermectin and chlorpyfros, eta-cypermethrin applied singularly have the satisfactory control effect in forests. Finally, There are two kinds of parasitoids to parasite N. sophorica Wu . Of which, Neogreechalcia sophoricae has a larger population and one generation per year, overwinters as larva in the body of the Neogreenia sophorica Wu.
