Guangzhou is one of the major city in china and is one of typical subtropical city in the world . The landscape of Guangzhou is the best representative of the southern garden. Guangzhou landscape's develop entirely will process the south China's garden ,especially the landscape of southern China .Guangzhou landscape has developed rapidly in recent years, and there are some rearch about Guangzhou garden plant species and construction. But there is not quite systematic and comprehensive study. From 2004 to 2006,in the last two years, I investigated 12 parks ,contantde the Guangzhou Yuexiu Park and Liuhua Park Lake Park and so on, Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Longdong Forest Park, 7 residential areas contened Guangzhou Cloud View Center and Guangzhou Olympic homeland, 9 accessory greenbelts contended Guangzhou Nanfang Hospital ande PLA Guangzhou Nursing Homes, 6 university gardens contened South China Agricultural University and Zhongshan University, 5 bus stations greenbelt contened Guangzhou East Station and Guangzhou Tianhe station, 16 roads contened Guangzhou Avenue. New South China Route and so on. As having more comprehensive study to the Guangzhou plant species diversity and landscape based on above landscape, the research have analies the classification system conducted and investigation and analysis. The results is:1 There is many plants in Guangzhou and the plants variety is abviously. Guangzhou greenery and park use about 1,007 species of plants , of which 399 species of trees, 243 species of shrubs. Guangzhou common garden trees are 403 species, which of woody plants. The use of plants exests many questions. (1) The application plants is single. Green downtown Guangzhou used for 35 types of trees, 25 species of shrubs used.Although these plants accounted for a small proportion of Guangzhou garden plants, but plants in Guangzhou use accounts for 80%;(2) Plant Landscape monotonous landscape strikingly similar serious.Flower Lake Park in convection contrast with the landscape Yuexiu Park found that the landscape from the entrance.Waterfront Park landscape and the landscape of some roads there is a marked similarity.in the use of plants and plant forms almost the same configuration; (3) plant landscape design.
