Investigation And Evaluation Of Landscape Plants Diversity In Nanchang City

Urban garden plant diversity play an important role in sustaining the stability of the urban green space system in recent years,through existing series of greening projects such as increasing green from broking old wall,afforesting,and building green passageway,etc in Nanchang city.The implementation of the "garden city" has achieved initial success,but the "forest city" is far from achieving the target in the point of plant diversity.According to the survey,there are 1708 species of advanced plants in the city of Nanchang,which belonged to 909 genera of 243 families,including 54 species of moss plants and 1654 species of vascular plants.The vascular plants included 52 fern species,43 gymnosperms species and 1,559 angiosperms.There are 1173 cultivable plants in vascular plants,481 species of wild plants.There are 769 species of native vascular plants,404 species of foreign cultivated plants and occupied 34.4% of all cultivated species.The city of Nanchang landscape plants,there are 99 families,306 genera and 476 species,including 205 kinds of trees,179 kinds of shrubs,29 kinds of Woody vines,and 63 kinds of herbaceous plants.except all kinds of herbaceous plants,there are205 species of evergreen,208 species of deciduous plants.176 species of cultivated plants were commonly applied in Nanchang city.There are 71 arbor species belonging to 34 genera of 29 families,51 shrub species of 31 genera of 16 families,9 vine species,and 45 herbaceous species.There were 103 endangered plant species belonging to 80 genera of 48 families in Jiangxi province.35 species of endangered plants were applied in the urban landscape greening in Nanchang city,and 52 endangered species according to the provincial preserving standard were applied.49 invasive plants in the foreign cultivated plants in Nanchang city were reported.Based on my investigation,there are 64 invasive plants in Nanchang city,and were covered by 75% of all invasive plants in Jiangxi province.The cultivation of exotic plants is not conducive to the improvement of the plantdiversity.Be careful in introducing foreign plants and adjusted the ratio of exotic plants to native plants.To reduce the risk of invasive plant invasion,which would affect seriously the development of plant diversity in Nanchang city.By introducing the endangered plants,it would enrich the plant diversity and improve the landscape afforesting level.
