It has a long history for Legume/Gramineae mixed cropping in China. After the rising of the agricultural production modernization, this ancient, as well as scientific methods of crop cultivation have been weakening. The experiments which are strong contrast and based on large pot experiment data aim to provide a scientific basis for further optimizing the planting ways and promoting it development. At low N, P content of the sandy soil, the experiments revealed effects of the ways, including, N-level on corn / alfalfa mixed cropping systems which include mixed cropping, not completely mixed cropping and monocropping, 3-N levels, 75mg/kgsoil, 150mg/kg soil, 225mg/kg soil, and whether inoculation ,totally 18 treatments. The results show that:(1)Rhizobium Inoculation can significantly enhance the alfalfa's Rhizobium number and weight; promote maize height mixed crop with the non-leguminous, the fresh weight, P absorption aboveground and roots system, as well as Leaf net photosynthetic rate, but can not promote their own P absorption and fresh growth.(2)The treatment of N> 150mg/kg. N concentrations in soil can inhibit alfalfa roots system's Rhizobium development. It is increasing with N concentration in 75-150mg/kg for maize height, fresh weight aboveground and roots system, as well as P absorption and Leaf net photosynthetic rate, and other indices, while decreased with the N concentration in 150-225mg/kg. In mixed cropping, indices observed increase with the N concentration.(3)In the corn/alfalfa mixed cropping system, maize height, fresh weight aboveground and roots system, as well as P absorption and Leaf net photosynthetic rate, the Rhizobium number and weight of alfalfa increase in mixed cropping compared incomplete mixed cropping and monocroping. While for alfalfa, the fresh weight aboveground and roots system, as well as P absorption have not been affected.
