Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Bromide Iodide and Dimethyl AmmoniumBromide-Bromide are two new kinds of disinfectants developed by Shanghai Bestar-BiotecLtd, which composed with double-strand quaternary ammonium salt and halogen. Thedisinfection tests in lab proved that these two products have effect on killing bacteria andviruses under lab conditions. To further verify the applicable effect on surface disinfection,water disinfection and aerial disinfection in pig farms, the disinfection effect of the twodisinfectants are measured in the different hogpens. The results were as follows:1 Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Bromide Iodide Disinfectant(1) Surface Disinfection: The disinfectant was diluted with tap water by 1000 times,and then used on ground, wall and feeding rack for scene disinfection tests. Thirty minineslater, about 99.9% of bacterials were killed by the diluted disinfectants and the controldisinfectant, Iodine and Acid Mixed solution (BIOCID) .It indicated that 1:1000 dilution ofDidecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Bromide Iodide Disinfectant recommended by the companyis reasonable to be used as surface disinfection on the pig farms.(2) Water Disinfection: The disinfection efficiency of the tap water disinfected with a1:2000 dilution of the disinfectant arrived at 100% in 10 min, which demonstrates that the1:2000 dilution is credible to water disinfection.(3) Aerial Disinfection: According to the result of the spray disinfection on the spot,the disinfection efficiency is over 50% ten minutes later, and are over 70% and 80% thirtyminutes and sixty minutes later, respectively, although it is swayed with the feeder swine'snumber in the hogpens, which would result in secondary contamination. It showed thatspray disinfection with the recommended dilution of the Didecyl Dimethyl AmmoniumBromide Iodide disinfectant can obtain obvious disinfection effect in the presence of swine.2 Dimethyl Ammonium Bromide-Bromide Disinfectant(1) Surface Disinfection: The disinfectant was diluted with tap water into 1:1000then used on ground, wall and feeding rack for site disinfection tests. 30 min later, thedisinfection efficiency of this three dilutions were all over 99.9%, they all achieve good antimicrobial disinfection efficiency, which have no difference with that of the control,Bayer. It proves that the recommended 1:1000 dilution of Dimethyl AmmoniumBromide-Bromide Disinfectant is scientific and reasonable to surface disinfection on thespot in the feedlot.(2) Water Disinfection: The disinfection efficiency of the tap water disinfected with a1:2000 dilution of the disinfectant arrived at 100% in 10 min, what demonstrates that the1:2000 dilution is credible to water disinfection.(3) Air Disinfection: According to the effect of the spray disinfection on the spot, thedisinfection efficiency is over 50% ten minutes later, and is over 70% thirty minutes later.Althoug it is swayed by the feeder swine raised in the hogpens, which would result insecondary contamination, the bacteria number of the environment reduces exactly. Itindicated that spray disinfection with the recommended dilution of the Didecyl DimethylAmmonium Bromide-Bromide disinfectant can obtain obvious disinfection and purificationeffect in the presence of the swine.
