Study On Introduction And Compatibility Investigation Of Navel Orange's New Variety In Fujian

The Citrus fruit industry was occupying extremely important status in agriculture of our country,and has already become the most important fruit and pillar industry in the southern part of our country.At present, Navel Orange was developed chiefly to optimize the planting structure of citrus fruits. Because Navel Orange has the largest cultivating scale of sweet orange variety, this study took Navel Orange as object relating closely to production and being practically significative.In order to utilize the natural resources of each Navel Orange habitat fully, various quality conditions of Navel Orange in Sanming were studied with the summarization that Newhall Navel Orange was the superior. Meanwhile,primary varieties of Newhall Navel Orange from different ecological area of Fujian province were took as materials. The fruit quality condition and the influence of meteorological factor on that were studied. Citrus fruits variety regionalization in Fujian province were discussed, in order to provide basis for planting citrus scientifically and promoting the development of citrus fruit industry in Fujian.The results of investigation were as follows:1.Phenophases of various of introduced Navel Orange varieties in Sanming were compared. Newhall and SkaggsBonanza Navel Orange were early maturing variety while most of the others were medium maturing, and the late maturing varieties were few. Comparisons of phenophases of each producing region showed that the mature period mostly occured in November.2.Seven appraisal factors of per fruit weight, edible rate, fruit juice rate, soluble solid, sugar content, the vitamin C content and acid content for the evaluation of fruit quality of Newhall Navel Orange of each producing region were quoted. On this fo undation, combined with the influence of meteorological factor on the fruit quality, this article used the level cluster analytic method and SPSS software and carried on the discussion on fruit variety regionalization of Fujian province. Three major Navel Orange producing regions were divided: areas of Sanming, Yongan and Sha County; areas of Lian Cheng, Shanghang, Shunchang and Ningde; as well as areas of Minhou, Mingxi and Putian with the best fruit quality from areas of Sanming, Yongan and Sha County, which were the most suitable area for Navel Orange cultivation in Fujian province and should develop vigorously. The other two areas showed equal quality but has their own character. Integrated horticultural measurement and microclimate should be chosen to develop properly.3.To summarize the main cultivation measure for improving the Navel Orange production and quality through investigation of each orchard of production areas.
