The variety of different tissue cell size and it's quantity in leaves of Stipagrandis, Leymus chinensis, Agropyron michnoi, Carex korshinskyi and Alliumbidentatum in different restoring succession was studied by means of paraffin sectioncombined with GIS image Software, to revealed the inherent mechanism ofcommunity's individual miniaturization. The research approach make a breakthroughcompared with traditional measure method, have realized obtaining more accuratearea value of various kinds of cells. The preliminary conclusion of the study is asfollowing:1,The miniaturization is a kind of adoption to the over-graving.2,Individual's miniaturized inherent mechanism is different because of plant.For Allium bidentatum, degeneration of aqueous tissue resulting from lessening ofSpongy tissur cell size, quantity and clearance among cells and lessening of vascularbundle lead to leaf Miniaturization. For the other four plants, lessening of mesophyll cell size is the main inherent reason which causes individual miniaturization.3,Under the over-graving condition, stiffening of plant leaves has closer linkswith leaf anatomy differences.4,Five kinds of plant leaves generally present the drought characteristic.thegramineous plant and sedge plant adapt more droughty condition by growing lowercuticle, and Allium bidentatum adapt more droughty condition by reinforcing palisadetissue.
