Qinghai dahuang rape is a local B.campestris. Besides yellow-seeded, it has many other good properties, such as 1000-weight high, self-compatibility, oil content high, stable heredity of seed-color character. It is a precious germplasm resource. The paper studied on its quality characters and genetic law in order to provide evidences for yellow-seeded breeding and other relative studies. The main results of the paper were the following: 1.Oil content in seeds and embryos of Qinghai dahuang rape was 41.09% and 49.2% respectively. Its husk content was 12.8%. 1000-weight was 5.77g. 2.1000-weight was quantitative character, which was largely influenced by environment. The H2 and h2 was 38.43% and 8.43% respectively. It showed that the genetic power of 1000-seeded of B.campestris was lower, so it was unfit to choose 1000-seede in early hybrid generation. 3.The heredity of its seed-color character was stable. The influences of altitude on color character weren't evidence. The phonotype of seed-color (black or yellow) was one pair of counterpart character controlled by allele. Black was dominant character, yellow was recessive character. The seed-color character of Qinghai dahuang and Sharson was also controlled by allele and the genotypes of them were same, both of them were recessive homozygote (bb). The seeded-color character of Qinghai dahuang and Agrevo-x wasn't controlled by allele. The characteristic segregation of their hybrid generations were very complication, so it needs to be further studied. 4. Qinghai dahuang was self-compatible cultivar, which self-compatibility index was high(11.85). Self-compatibility character and self-incompatibility character were controlled by one pair of allele also. self-incompatibility character was dominant character, Self-compatibility character was recessive character. In addition, the self-compatibility character of Qinghai dahuang and Sharson were also controlled by allele and the genotypes of them were recessive homozygote (bb). The study also showed that self-incompatibility character was controlled by multi-alleles. There exited grade relationship between alleles and their heredity was complication. Compared with Qingyou241, the degradation of self-generation was slower.
