Chinese pine forest and Chinese pine-Liaodong Oak forest are the most representative vegetation in south Loess Plateau,which are studied are the main forest types in Huanglong Mountains. In order to probing into the characteristic of the two forests, we selected the center zone of Mt. Huanglong where Chinese pine forest and Chinese pine-Liaodong Oak forest are the most representative as research zone. We made 27 plots to systematically study the studied the population structure, the woodland productivity, the species diversity, soil fertility and evaluated the community stability. The two forest types were selected to application nature-approximating management, made effect examination of thinning after two years, and evaluated the rank. The result is showed as follows:(1) Six communities of Chinese pine forest and Chinese pine-Liaodong Oak forest were selected to analyse the preponderant population dynamic,the woodland productivity, the species diversity, soil fertility and evaluated the community stability. As the evaluated the rank, Pinus tabulaefomi -Ostryopsis davidiana + Lespedeza dahurica - Carex lancedata + Festuca ovina Ass. and Pinus tabulaefomis + Quercus Liaotungensis - Rosa hugonis + Forsythia giraldiana - Carex lancedata + Valeriana offcinalis Ass. is the best stability in sunny slope. The tree height ,DBH and volume growth of Chinese pine and Liaodong Oak population individual were studied in different habitats,the result showed Chinese pine and Liaodong Oak population individual were in the fast growing period, but forest density was too dense and the growth of Chinese pine and Liaodong Oak was suppressed. Tending and thining are necessary to the forest.(2) The Chinese pine forest and Chinese pine-Liaodong Oak forest of nature-approximation forest management were studied in shady slope. After two years these indicated that individual numbers of dominant populations was reduced, and that of the Seedling increased. the woodland productivity was high, species diversity was abundance, moisture and nutrient in soil in these two forest. The two forests were more stability after nature-approximation forest management than before. This research showed that the technology of nature-approximating forest management should be imported to association resume and forest management in the future. First, it made dominant populations of forest communities reasonable, the function of natural regeneration will be promoted; Second, some individual of population were thinninged, light, water and soil fertility should be richer to live for shrub and herb, so the woodland productivity was increased; Third, it could improve the ecologic function of forest in our country, because realization forest sustainable management is the firm foundation of the social sustainable development.(3)In the future the eco-function of forest must be definitude during the forest management. The cover ratio and the eco-function of forests are main object in Loess Plateau, and the vegetation character must be considered in this regional area. Chinese pine-Liaodong Oak forest is the object in forest management, and the technology of nature-approximation forest management should be applied. The forest management could optimize the forest structure, improve the stand quality and the economy value, strengthen the sun light after the thinning was done. If we master the technology of the nature-approximating management and appropriately apply, the sustainable development of forest management must be realized.
