The research on Growth Traits and Carcass Traits of Peking duck and the Correlate between H-FABP and these TraitsObject: In the experiment, the growth traits and the carcass traits of the Z line Peking ducks were investigated, and the results could provide the basis for subsequent breeding. In order to reveal the growth and development patterns of Peking duck, and offered important reference to breeding, Z2 line, Z3 line, and their crossbred were used for growth curve fitting, with 300 in each line. The relationships between birth weight, growth rate and carcass traits were analyzed, and provided important reference for representative traits selection. The correlate between H-FABP single nucleotide polymorphism and carcass traits was analyzed with the aim to determine whether H-FABP had effects on the carcass trails in Peking duck.In the research, food intake and daily weight gain about Z2 line, Z3 line, and their crossbred were recorded, and three kinds of growth curve models were applied for growth curve fitting, which were Logistic, Gompertz, Von bertalanffy. 100 Peking ducks, half males and half females, were selected randomly for determining carcass traits and the effect of birth weight on growth rate and carcass traits were investigated. The heart-fat acid bind protein was taken as Candidate Gene, the polymerase chain reaction single strand conformation polymorphism method was used to analyze carcass weight, such as breast muscle weight, leg muscle weight, eviscerated weight, semi-eviscerated weight, sebum weight, abdominal fat weight, skeletal weight, breast muscle yield, leg muscle yield, sebum yield and abdominal fat.The results showed 1. All the three curve models fitted the growth of Peking duck well, the indexes of fitness (R2) of three models all beyond 0.99. Logistic curve was the best model fitted pure line (z4,z2) and Gompertz was the best model fitted the cross line(z4Xz2);The father line had the highest absolute growth rate(AGR) and body weight, The cross line had the earliest inflection point and the highest relative growth rate in 0~2 weeks; The body weight and AGR of male Peking ducks were higher than female in the same line, but there were no significant difference in relative growth rate.2.The birth weight of Peking duck influenced the growth rate and carcass traits, the newborn body weight more than 57.5g had higher the body weight after 6 week-of-age than groups which were less than 57.5g(P<0.05). Carcass weight, breast muscle weight, eviscerated weight and breast muscle yield showed the trends which increased with birth weight increasing, but the differences only in the group which birth weight was more than 60g were significant. The birth weight influenced the protophase absolute growth rate (0~4 weeks) and had no effect on the anaphase absolute growth rate. The relative growth rate showed the trend which significantly decreased with the birth weight decreasing. The carcass traits of three gene types were analyzed, the results showed that the gene type had significantly influence on the traits of carcass weight, sebum weight, and eviscerated weight. In conclusion: 1. the Logistic curve fitted the Z2 (indexes of fitness) of the pure line well, and the Gompertz curve fitted their crossbred well. 2. The selection breeding for birth weight influenced on growth traits and carcass traits in Peking duck, which can improve carcass weight, breast muscle weight, eviscerated weight, and abdominal fat weight, and could obtain good results. 3. The polymorphisms of the 3rd intron were caused by C→G transition at 156bp position, which had influence on carcass weight, abdominal fat weight and eviscerated weight. Therefore, H-FABP influenced on carcass weight, abdominal fat weight and eviscerated weight, could be taken as the candidate gene.
