Tested and researched 45 different modified sheep and goat skin (in process product/the crust leather ) according to the factory machining in this experiment ,such as the tear load,tensile strength,load stretch rate,shrinkage temperature and so on. So, study was carried on physic and chemical characterizations of the modified sheep and goat skin. The main contents were as follows:1,The physic and chemical characterizations of the chrome bating sheep skin (the crust leather) of the F1 and F2 (Borderdale×Mongolia sheep and Poll Dorset×Mongolia) was studied, with the comparasion of the ram and ewe of F1 (Borderdale×Mongolia) and the criterion of The Nation Garment leather, The results showed that, the durability of the F1(Borderdale×Mongolia and Dorset×Mongolia) was more better than the F2(Borderdale×Mongolia and Dorset×Mongolia); the softening of the F2(Borderdale×Mongolia and Poll Dorset×Mongolia) was better than the F1.Through the comparasion of F1 (♂) and F1(♀) of the Borderdale×Mongolia, the strength of F1(♂) was higher than F1(♀), while the softening of F1(♀) was better than F1(♂). All the indexes excessed the criterion of The Nation Garment leather except shrinkage temperature. The tensile strength of the F1 ( Borderdale×Mongolia and Poll Dorset×Mongolia) was more significant(P<0.05)than F2 (Borderdale×Mongolia and Poll Dorset×Mongolia) respectively, but there were no significance (P﹥0.05) at the load strength, fracture stretch and tear strength. There were significantly differen(tP<0.05)at the load strength rate and tear strength in the F1(♂and♀) of the Borderdale×Mongolia.2,After the tested physic and chemical characterizations of the F1( Borderdale×Small Tails Han and Poll Dorset×Small Tails Han) sheep skin(the crust leather), and comparasion with the criterion of The Nation Garment leather, the results indicated that: the softening and strength of the F1( Borderdale×Small Tails Han) were better than the F1 (Poll Dorset×Small Tails Han), but the durability was not different between them. Except shrinkage temperature, all index excessed the criterion of The Nation Garment leather. There are highly evident (P<0.01) at the load strength rate, fracture stretch rate and tear strength except the tensile strength (P﹥0.05).3,The physic and chemical characterizations of the crust leather(Dorpor×Mongolia , Dorpor×Small Tails Han and Dorpor×WaDi ) sheep skin was tested and compared with the criterion of The Nation Garment leather, the results demonsted that: the strength and softening (Dorpor×Small Tails Han ) were better than Dorpor×Mongolia and Dorpor×WaDi, the strength (Dorpor×WaDi) was higher than Dorpor×Mongolia, while the softening was lower than Dorpor×Mongolia. All the indexes excessed the criterion of The Nation Garment leather, except for the shrinkage temperature.4,Tested with the same way and compared to the criterion of The Nation Upper leather, The results showed that: The strength and softening (Boll×QianBei goat) of the crust leather (Boll×QianBei , Boll×GuiZhou Black and Boll×GuiZhou White) goat skin were better than the Boll×GuiZhou Black goat's and the Boll×GuiZhou White goat's. The strength and the softening (Boll×GuiZhou White goat) was higher than Boll×GuiZhou Black goat.That the tear load, load strength rate was in according to the criterion of The Nation Upper leather and except for the shrinkage temperature.
