Abstract: This study is carried out on Gansu Agriculture Technology College's Heping Farm, taking the four local main hybrid maize ( Zhongdan 2, Yuyu 22, Shendan 10, Funong 998) as the studying subject, with Zhongdan 2 as the antitheses. The experimental field is apart and drought with eight levels: normal irrigation (during seeding, jointing and florescence stages), drought in seeding, in jointing, in florescence, in seeding and jointing, in seeding and florescence, in jointing and florescence, in all the stages. The experiments are carried 3 times in 24 areas with each 65㎡ square, and the sub-area is breed, in 4 levels, with each 15㎡ square. The experiment is done on April 12 with tectorial, wide and narrow row planting, the narrow row is 65 centimeters, narrow is 35 centimeters, and the trunk distance is 30 centimeters. In the case of promising normally germinating, the maize is always put in the situation of drought with other managements being similar to local fields. There are analysis on the four main hybrid maize's fertility, stability, and drought-resistance in different growing stages with various ways, meantime on their seven ears'main agricultural character's relativity between drought and output.According to the analysis of output in different drought treatments, the sequence (from high to low) of their average output, comparative production increase is as follows:①Yuyu 22: 47698.6Kg/h㎡, 9.2%>②Funong 998:4598.7 Kg/h㎡, 5.3%>③1.78 Shendan 16:4582.0 Kg/h㎡, 3.7%>CK Zhongdan 2: 4376.3 Kg/h㎡.The result of experiment shows, that, on the condition drought, there are marked differences in production stability to different hybrids'growing stages. Among the four breeds, Zhongdan 2 has the comparative stability (its variability, adaptability, high- adjustability, regression are comparatively low), but the drought-resistance (output is low) is partly bad, however, the Yuyu 22 makes the much higher output among different drought treatments, is a much ideal hybrid and can be extended widely as the main breed in the area. Funong 998 and Shendan 10 also represent comparative fertility and drought-resistance but are less than Yuyu22, which can be extended as the sub-breed. Therefore in the daily planting, we should choose breeds with different fertility and stability according to the various producing levels and planting situations, to increase their output potential. All the relative studying result show that the length of plant and ear, seeds'number per row, and weight of ear all have positive effects on the output-the related indexes are 0.838, 0.757, 0.751, and 0.706, up to extreme level. With remarked negative relation to bald, the index is -0.589. With obvious relation to ear thick and number of ear per row, but it has no distinct one to weight of 100 seeds.According to this study, Yuyu 22, Funong 998 and Shendan 16 all are suitable to be planted in that area, in which Yuyu 22 can be taken as the main breed with Funong 998 and Shendan 16 as the sub-breeds.
