Actionmycetes extensively distribute in kinds of soils, which are many very important and hugely tapping potential bioresources. Tarim basin belongs to an extremely arid climate, because of its particular ecologic conditions and the diversity of complicated geographical environment, there exits in rich and especial microorganism resource used to tap natural bioactive substance. Utilizing enough the regional superiority of our country in microorgnisim, systemicly and deeply working actinomycetes resource and utilization of its production, which there will be an important theoretical and realistic signification to protect, tap and utlize civil bioresources. In the experiment'scourse, 6 culture mediums and 8 isolated methods were used to isolate 81 soil samples from 29 counties or cities in Tarim basin. The result indicated that 15 genera were isolated from soils tested, and the dominant actinomycetes were Streptomyces(97%)and it could be classified into 12 kinds. Among rare actinomycetes, Nocardia,Streptoverticillium and Actinosporangium were often found. In addition, the population of the halophilic actinomycetes was unitary, both Streptomyces and Nocardiopsis were only isolated from soils tested. The distribution characteristic and the population of soil actinomycetes were systematically researched. The effect of diffirent areas, soil types and farming means on the quantity and population of soil actinomycetes was explored. The relation of the total number of halophilic actinomycetes and basic chemical features of the soil accordingly was studied. At the same time, the study of actinomycetes in desert hinterland was explored. The distributing regularity of antagonistic actinomycetes in diffirent soil types from Tarim basin was investigated. The result showed that some active strains will be easier gained in Shrub, farmland and meadow than others tested.A rare actinomycete (strain D0-35) with high bioactivity was obtained in tested soils, which includes to Elytrosporangium by traditional identification. Elytrosporangium only include a specie namely Elytrosporangium brasiliense, so strain D0-35 can be a new potential specie because of the difference of characters of morphology and cultures between Elytrosporangium brasiliense and strain D0-35, however the possible result need further to indentify by genetic taxonomy.Because of strain D0-35's features with better inhabiting result, wider inhabiting range to plant pathogenic fungi than others, which will be hugely potential used to tap new, high efficiency, innoxious and natural farming bactericide. Therefore, these ferment conditions of strain D0-35 were optimized to offer a valuable reference for futural industrial ferment to a certain extent.
