Based on current researching achievements of inorganic antibacterial agents, two antibacterial materials of TiO2 sol and Cu2+/ TiO2 sol were prepared by sol- gel method in this paper. It had been proved that the antibacterial materials have good photocatalysis activity through the experiments of photo-degradation methyl blue. The antibacterial experiments showed that TiO2 sol and Cu2+/ TiO2 sol have excellent antibacterial effects on plant pathogens.Through the process of preparing the antibacterial TiO2 and Cu2+/TiO2, change the contain of Ti(SO4)2 and copper ion we can obtain a series of TiO2 sol and Cu2+/ TiO2 sol.The samples were tesed by XRD,SEM,TEM methods, the result showed that the TiO2 we prepared were anatase, and the 20of 25.42°,37.77°and 48.00°belong the diffract apex of 101,004 and 200 separately. The distributing range of TiO2 grains are in 3.9nm-97.9nm, the effective diameter is 63.6nm and the polydispersity is 0.222. The effective diameter of Cu2+/TiO2 is 58.4nm, the polydispersity is 0.237.The test result showed that the diameter of Cu2+/TiO2 sol is little than TiO2, then the photodegradation effect is better than TiO2 sol.The experiment of methyl blue photodegradation showed that polymerization time is 8h, and the concentration is 1.5%, TiO2 sol have the optimal photocatalytic effective. The optimal proportion of copper ion is 0.5%.It had been proveded in antibacterial experiments that both sols possess broad-spectrum and effective antibacterial properties which antibacterial rates can reach 100% with extending in illumination time, and no significantly differences exist among different species of plant pathogens. The antibacterial abilities of Cu2+/TiO2 sol are better than TiO2 sol which lost its antibacterial activities without illumination. In addition, security evaluation tests revealed that TiO2 and Cu2+/TiO2 sol are safe to health.The study of our experiments implied that TiO2 and Cu2+/TiO2 semiconductors sol may be developed as a fungicide in preventing from plant diseases.
