Many researches on reproduction of captive Oriental white storks was carried for years, on the basis of it, this study examined further research on partition of energy and nestling growth of captive Oriental white storks. In order to discuss the relationship between the partition of energy and the behavior of the adult and nestling white stork, some experiments on absorption of energy, partition of energy, investment of reproduction and the absorption of energy, partition of energy for nestling growth was carried out. Consequently, more basic data about breeding in capture of Oriental white storks were obtained and the breeding regulations of white stork were consummated further. Final purpose is to advance the ex-situ conservation of Oriental white storks. The results are as followed:There was no significant difference between male and female Oriental white storks of the rate of energy intake in the breeding season (p=0.85). Temperature is an important factor to affect the food in taking which increased as the temperature was falling. It is showed that the difference between the energy intake of adult and sub-adult Oriental white storks is at significant level, and the energy intake of adult Oriental white storks is higher than sub-adult Oriental white storks, which results the significant difference between their behaviors (P<0.05). The differences of both energy intake and behaviors are not significant between male and female Oriental white storks in winter.Time budget of behaviors of Oriental white storks such as feeding, resting, walking, bill beating, preening, reproduction and others are more when temperature is over -10℃. So temperature is a very important factor to affect the behaviors of Oriental white storks. There is significant difference of hatching between male and female, and the female spent more time on hatching (P<0.05). Oppositely the male spent more time on nesting, and the difference is at highly significant level (P<0.01).The influence of fresh egg weight on insemination rate and health rate is significant (F=46.946, p<0.05). As the fresh egg weight increased the weight of emerging from eggs increased.Food in taking is correlated highly positively with both body weight increasing and body length increasing of nestling (P<0.01). And it is correlated positively with wing length increasing (P<0.05). The result shows that when temperature ranged from 32℃to 35℃, the nestling was 7day-age, the body temperature of the nestling was not stable until the nestling was about 27day-age. Body temperature is correlated positively with body weight and body length (P<0.05).
