| Behavioral of Oriental White Stork in breeding season were investigated in the Honghe Nation Nature Reserve from March to June in2012.The time investment, pertinence, diurnal rhythm, male and female differences at different times were studied by the method of Instantaneous and Scan Sampling, Ad Libitum Sampling, All Occurrences Sampling and at the same time record the weather. Collect the behavior data of the research object, and analysis the date use of statistical analysis software were Microsoft Excel2007and SPSS17.0. The results showed that:In the breeding season (include incubation period, parent care period, and not join analysis of incomplete data of nest building period), the time budget proportion of breeding behavior accounted for31.16%(hatching23.54%, drying egg4.34%, feeding3.28%) and that of feeding, resting, walking, preening, fixing nest and guarding accounted for30.49%,15.24%,12.39%,5.83%,2.61%and2.28%; the time budget proportion of incubation period behavior accounted for breeding51.04%(hatching43.54%, drying egg7.50%) and that of feeding, walking, resting, preening, guarding and fixing nest accounted for26.88%.6.25%.6.11%,4.86%,2.71%and2.15%; the time budget proportion of behavior accounted for feeding37.71%. resting22.38%, walking14.60%. breeding13.76%. preening6.78%. fixing nest2.92%and guarding1.85%.During different stages of the breeding season, behaviors excited significant difference(P<0.01). There existed significant correlations between climate (cloudy, sunny and windy) and drying egg (r=0.084, P<0.01), hatching (r=-0.521, P<0.01)Oriental white stork breeding behavior time distribution in different phases within a certain diurnal rhythm, and diurnal rhythm are obviously different with different phase. In incubation period, the diurnal rhythm of hatching and walking is opposite. In the parent care period, the diurnal rhythm of feeding and resting g is opposite, and the most active of Oriental white stork was in6:00-9:00am.Male and female in the whole breeding by comparison, the female reproductive behavior time distribution was36.45%.1.47times that of the male was24.78%and other behaviors males were higher than females. Male and female in the whole breeding by comparison, the female reproductive behavior time distribution was36.45%.1.47times that of male was24.78%.separately to see in incubation period. the female for reproduction time distribution was65.98%(hatching55.47%.drying egg10.51%) was1.87times of male35.27%(hatching30.91%,drying egg4.36%).the other behaviors was half of male. And after parent care period, breeding of parent care period was largely reduced than incubation period. only30%of the incubation period. Female parent care period for resting and walking higher than that of males, increase the rest time to supplement the incubation period the loss of energy, the female was still on the reproductive behavior slightly more than males. Males were still in meeting their needs of feeding and preening was higher than the female. Because of the Oriental white stork is altrices, after nestling out of the shell increased parent birds guarding, to protect the nestling. |
