It was precondition for using plant somatic embryos that had a somatic embryogenesis system of high frequency and synchronization, which was integrant for control the process automally and study the physiological and biochemistry and biomolecule questions. In this paper, we used immature zygotic embryo to study the synchronization of Manchrian ash somatic embryogenesis. It was observed that the effect of osmotic stress, low temperature and ABA in synchronization of somatic embryogenesis, and the effect of desiccation and chilling in germination, regeration and growth later. This was the first study in synchronization of somatic embryogenesis, which provided a base for Manchrian ash somatic embryogenesis and for perfect system of Manchrian ash somatic embryogenesis. The main results were as follow:Choose by hands, sift out, hunger and liquid in later culture were not fit for synchronization of Manchrian ash somatic embryogenesis.Osmotic stress, low temperature and ABA were promote the synchronization of somatic embryogenesis.The frequence of synchronization of cotyledonary stage by changed osmotic stress was the highest. But there was obvious phenomenon of degenerate. The optimal method was inducted 15 d with 50 g·L-1 sucrose; the frequency of synchronization of somatic embryo was 81.0%.The frequence of synchronization of cotyledonary stage by changed ABA was higher and no obvious phenomenon of degenerate, but the frequence of abnormal somtic embryogenesis was higher than the other treatments. The optimal method was inducted 30 d with 1 mg·L-1 ABA.The quality of somtic embryo was better than the other treatments and the size of cotylendonary embryos better after low temperature treatment. But the frequence of synchronization of cotyledonary stage by low temperature was lowest. The optimal method was inducted 15 d and chilling 7 d.In the study, it is difficult to induce somatic embryo of high frequency and synchronization that use one treatment only. So the optimal method was inducted somatic embryo was combin several treatments.At the same time, in the study we found that the long time of induction was not fit for synchronization of somatic embryogenesis. The optimal time of induction was 15 d.The treatment of chilling had no positive effect on regeration and growth later of Manchrian ash somatic embryo, but desiccated 10 minutes promoted obviously germination, regeration and growth later of Manchrian ash somatic embryo.
