In this experiment, the effect of supplementing defatted linseed in feed and adding linseed lignanin drinking water on the growth performance and immunological function of geese have been studied.according to this studying the possible mechanism was preliminarily discussed.A total of ninty nine of healthy male North-East White Geese at the age of 1d were randomlyallocated to three treatments: control group, defatted linseed group (DLG) and lignan group (LG). Thecontrol group was fed with basal diet; for the defatted linseed group, the dietary was supplemented with2.0g/kg of defatted linseed and for the lignan group the drinking water was supplemented with 1.0ml/Lof lignan extracts. Geese were fed a week in advance, The experiment had begun from one-week ageand ended to eight-week age, lasted for 7 weeks. From the first experimental week, nine geese per groupwere weighed on an empty stomach ,and collected samples for further assess on 7th in every week; From the third experimental week, excepting for weight, three geese per group were randomly selectedand collected blood in jugular vein, then separated serum and assessed blood, endocrine andimmunological index; after collecting, geese were killed and autopsied, Spleen, bursa of Fabricius andThymus were collected for relative weight of immune organs of goose, calculated immune organs index. Results were summarized as follows:1. During entire trial period, Linseed lignans did increase bodyweight of goose, at the endof experiment bodyweight of goose in experimental increase 120.13g and 173.13g incomparison with the control group(P>0.05), and improve average daily weight gain and daily feedintake of goose. In comparison with the control group, end of weight of the experimental groupsincreased 7.28%and 10.17%(P>0.05), average daily weight gain increased 8.77%and 11.22%(P>0.05) and average daily feed intake increased by 9.26%and 14.35%(P>0. 05), respectively.2. During entire trial period, in comparison with the control group, contents of total protein andglobulin in serum of goose in defatted linseed group and lignan group increased 12.43%and 17.32%,17.12%and 18.36%(P<0.05), in some degree linseed lignans did effect on albumin protein content, increased 5.62%and 15.96%(P>0.05), difference had no singinificantly; Linseed lignans may effecton INS and T4content in serum of goose, increased respectively 11.23%and 19.67%,4.70%and8.19%(P>0.05) but there were no significant differences.3. During entire trial period, in comparison with the control group, thymus index of experimentalgroup increased 29.46%and 32.87%than control group (P<0.05), and difference was significantly;bursa of Fabricius and spleen index had not significantly difference (P>0.05), but at 6 week, experimental group increased 27.01%and 33.33%than contro 1 group (P<0.05); linseed lignansdid significantly effect on IL-2 content in serum of goose (P<0.05), IL-2 content of the experimental groups increased 20.47%and 23.45%(P<0.05).Through experiment of the foregoing, we can reach conclusions: to a certain degree, linseedlignans did improve growth performance of goose and contribute to growth of goose, and didsignificantly strengthen immunity of goose, enhance capability of disease-resistant and improveorganism healthy.
