Paddy field ecosystem, a manual one, is of special services and value. Based onthe summarization and analysis of evaluation approach of ecosystem services at homeand abroad, this research is a breakthrough in making a quantitative evaluation ofecosystem services of rice-duck ecological management with no-tillage, which isoriginated from rice-duck technology, a traditional farming technique in Chineseagriculture. This quantitative evaluation is of great significance to perfect itsevaluation system of services of farmland ecosystem and furthermore to enrich thestudy of ecosystem of rice-duck ecological management with no-tillage. With ananalysis of some motions and their evaluation system related to ecosystem servicesand reference to some relevant evaluation approaches, this thesis is an attempt toapply to a monetized quantitative evaluation of ecosystem services of rice-duckecological management with no-tillage, such methods as direct market evaluation, indirect market evaluation and hypothetic evaluation. The result is as follows:1.Rice-duck ecological management with no-tillage is of greater ecosystemservices value than the rice planting model with no-duck raising and no-tillage and theconventional model of ploughing with no-duck raising, which is 54.83% and 73.92%greater respectively.2.The material production function of rice-duck ecological management withno-tillage is greater than the function of adjusting atmosphere. Between the servicesof the other two planting models, the function of adjusting atmosphere makes thegreatest contribution, followed by material production function. The less the materialproduction function becomes, the more function of adjusting atmosphere contributes. With regard to the model with duck raising but no-tillage, function of adjustingatmosphere and material production function cover 43.12% and 46.19% of the totalvalue respectively. As for the model with no-duck raising and no-tillage, function ofadjusting atmosphere and material production function cover 54.1% and 31.87% ofthe total value respectively. As to the conventional model of ploughing with no-duckraising, function of adjusting atmosphere and material production function cover73.08% and 20.59% of the total value respectively.3. As flee-duck ecological management with no-tillage can not only provideecological rice, ecological ducks, ecological eggs but also mitigate methane, it is ofmuch greater ecosystem service value than other similar models.
