Based on our careful investigation, some measures to control swine gastrointestinal parasitosis on large-scaled pig farms were suggested. Then it was used in two pig farms for one year. The research will surely provide theoretic and practical foundation to the control of parasitical diseases on large-scaled pig farms. The main contents and results of this essay are listed as follows:1. The investigation on gastrointestinal parasitical infection of swine from large-scaled farms in Hunan province.1301 stool samples from 15 farms were examined by precipitating and floating method. The results showed that the infection rates of A. suum, O. dentatum, S. ransom, T. suis, swine coccidia and B. coli were 5.07%, 2.54%, 2.46%, 1.46%, 17.68%, 38.36% respectively. While fluke, cestode and G. hispidum have not been found, which were quite common in the past. It suggests that some parasitical diseases have been under control on large-scaled farms with the improvement of the raising ways.2. Investigation and analysis of controlling patterns of parasites in large-scaled farmsControlling patterns of parasites were investigated by questionnaires and inquirement. The effection of controlling patterns of parasites was analyzed. The results showed that the parasite infection in large-scaled farms could be controlled by controlling using the drug of Fenbendazole or AVMs, under the good management.3. Research on the compositive controlling pattern in large-scaled farmsBased on the epidemic rules, features and the cycles of parasite, and improving the resistibility of pigs, a suitable compositive controlling pattern was developed including choosing proper medicine, controlling patterns of parasites, monitoring the infection of parasites and enhancing management of the pig farm.4. The use of compositive controlling patternTwo farms have been chosen to perform the experiment. All pigs in the experiment were bought from other farm. Measures were taken as follows:①Using Fenbendazole or Ivermectin as parasiticide.②All pigs take parasiticide before this measure.③The piglets taking parasiticide after buying, then mixing and getting along well with others pigs. ④Monitoring the infection of parasites.⑤Improving the management and the sanitary conditions on the farms⑥Piling the waste to fermentThe results showed that no eggs of gastrointestinal nematode could be detected. After a year's practice the time of put in market were ahead 23 -27 days than before, each pig adding 85.27-87.32 yuan. The compositive controlling pattern of the gastrointestinal parasites is not only theoretic value but economic value.
