It is the core and key of cashmere goat research that the study about the skin follicle of cashmere goat, which helps to learn about the molecular mechanism of wool vegetation. The candidate genes for the growth and development of hair follicle were searched via literature mining, and these genes were tested based on the preset rules and set up the database. The dependability between genes in the database was analyzed via natural language processing, then the gene regulatory network was constructed according to the dependability, was visualized by Pajek and was analyzed with graph theory,at last, the functions for the growth mechanism of wool were predicted in cashmere goat. There are 215 molecules in the database, and the molecules of Wnt, TGF-β, MAPK, Shh, JAK-STAT and Notch signal pathways is respectively 13.95%, 10.23%, 19.53%, 3.72%, 2.87% and 1.40% in all molecules. The network analysis result indicated:The most important 10 molecules in the network are IL2/3/4/6, TNF-α/Eda, Ca2+, TGF-β, GRB2, JNK,β-catenin, TrkB/C, TCF/LEF and Zic2,GRB2, Ca2+ and Zic2 were seldom studied among them up to now. We supposed from the network that GRB2 is probably very important to the growth and development of hair follicle, and Ca2+ plays probably a connected role, while Zic2 often is regarded as a leader to perform the function.Six signal pathways are more important to the growth and development of hair follicle, including Wnt, TGF-β, MAPK, Shh, Notch and JAK-STAT. Generally, MAPK was often activated by other signal pathways as a executor, and TGF-βusually activates other signal pathways as a leader, Wnt coordinates the balance between pathways, while Shh, Notch and JAK-STAT signal pathways play readjusting role. The network is similar to most biological network, and has the feature of a scale-free ntwork.
