According to the comparison of the combustibility to different forest type, and the relationship between factors of forest characters and combustibility in mountains region of Beijing, this paper reveals the affect of the stand structure on forest combustibility, and then set forth some rational methods of forest management and fire prevention. This paper provides a better academic guidance to decreasing the forest combustibility and enhancing the property of forest fire prevention.1. According to the investigation of fuel load, vertical continuity index of forest inflammable fuel and inflammable fuel density between surface and the first lower branch, we got combustibility of Larix principis—rupprechtii is strongest, it is easy to catch surface fires and turn into crown fires. Betula platyphylla is easy to catch surface fires, Quercus wutaishanica is easy to catch crown fires.2. According to the correlation analysis between stand factors and comprehensive combustible index of forest, the result showed that the DBH,height, and canopy are the key factors ,and all of them have negative correlation with forest fuel combustibility.3. Based on the investigation of the forest combustibility at the Badaling Forestry Center, the result shows 5 ratings of combustibility were divided in the paper, and summed up the area percentage of different ratings of combustibility. We suggested the methods of fire prevention, which are aiding and replanting, increasing the property of mingled, turning the current inflammable forest into forest belt of resistant, controlling the weed and shrub, reproduction and management of young crop.
