Diagnosis And Control Of Haemophilus Parasuis Disease In Puyang City Of Henan

Haemophilus parasuis disease has become one of severe bacterial diseases in swinery in recent years. Because of its rising incidence rate and degree of endangerment, farmers and veterinarians is putting more emphasis on it.The epidemiological study of Haemophilus parasuis disease in 5 counties and 1 area of Puyang city has been surveyed and analysed during 2004～2006. There are 3 style diseases in 26 swineries: Haemophilus parasuis infected, Haemophilus parasuis and Porcine circovirusⅡblending infected and Haemophilus parasuis and eperythrozoon suis blending infected. Incidence rate is the highest in group of weanling and growing pig while incidence rate of mature pig is the lowest.In order to diagnose the diseases correctly, we combine clinical examination, dissection and laboratory inspections methods including blood smear examination, pathological specimen smear examination, bacterium isolation and identification.Sensitive drugs like as florfenicol, ofloxacin, cefalexin, cefazolin sodium etc. combine vatamine C, aminopyrine and dexamethasone were used to treat Haemophilus parasuis infected bigs, and blend sensitive drugs with feeds to prevent group infection.While to blending infective swinery, besides sensitive drugs we used terramycin and diminazene to treat Haemophilus parasuis and Eperythrozoon suis blending infected pigs also to prevent group infection; used sensitive drugs and Astragalus Huang-qi polysaccharides, Transfer peptide for swine to treat Haemophilus parasuis and Porcine circovirusⅡblending infected pigs also to prevent group infection; severe arthritis cases were treated by injecting drugs through articular cavity.It is advised that all of infected swinery by Haemophilus parasuis to take some preventive measures like as to eliminate unfavorable stress, to blend sensitive antibacterial drugs with feeds to prevent herd infection in time and made autogenous bacterine to vaccinate all of pigs. It is reported that the infected swineries in 2004～2005 did not have new infective cases after that because of effective preventions.
