Further development of precision agriculture needs the support of the simulation on crop growth based on its discipline. In the past few years, the virtual plant model, which consists of many subjects and develops rapidly, has become importment research content of crop information science. And the virtual plant based on L-system method is one of the main methods to implement visual simulation of plant growth.Take the flower and inflorescence of rapeseed (Brassica napus) as the studying object, the comparative analysis with the definite L-system, stochastic L-system, parametric L-system, context L-system and differential L-system were done based on the basic theory, principle and method of L-system. In order to simulate the plant growth of rapeseed (Brassica napus) florwer and inflorescence effectively and objectively, this thesis study on the visual simulation model of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence and present the system architecture, algorithm and L-system grammar of rapeseed (Brassica napus) visual growth model, by referring to the research results of advanced crop model at home and abroad, taking the theory and technology of virtual reality, modeling principle of parametric L-system and mechanism of feedback between the morphological structure and function of plant for guidance, using L-studio4.0 as a tool platform, applying the implemental method of visual simulation about plant organ based on the parametric L-system and Double Thrice Bezier Surfaces, obtaining the characteristic data of morphological structure of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence and determining its relevant parameters of the virtual model based on the field experiment of rapeseed (Brassica napus), the main results of the study as follows:[1] Present a visual simulation model of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence based on the parametric L-system and Double Thrice Bezier Surfaces;[2] Gave the implemental algorithm of visual growth model of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower based on the parametric L-system and Double Thrice Surfaces;[3] Implement the grammar of visual growth of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence based on parametric L-system;[4] Achieved the visual growth of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence based on L-studio4.0. The visual growth system of rapeseed (Brassica napus) will provide supplementary analysis and guidance for forecasting production output of rapeseed (Brassica napus), optimizing cultivation technology and visual teaching of rapeseed (Brassica napus), establishing the basic work for realization of digitized rapeseed (Brassica napus). This thesis did achieve the virsual growth of rapeseed (Brassica napus) flower and inflorescence, but need to be further improved.
