This research was based on the 317 Nanjiang white cashmere goats from two herds. The data on phenotype, body weight (BW), cashmere weight (CW), fiber diameter (FD), coefficient of fiber diameter variation (CVDIA), length of cashmere sheet (LCS) and Washing cashmere ratio (WCR), and the correlation between any two traits was calculated. The genetic diversity of Nanjiang Cashmere Goat population was tested with 13 microsatellites and the associations between markers and traits above were analyzed. Results showed that: there were a most significantly positive correlation between LCS and BW (P<0.01), a most significantly positive correlation between WCR and FD (P<0.01), and a significant positive correlation between CVDIA and FD (P<0.05), a most significantly negative correlation between CW and WCR(P<0.01), a most significantly positive correlation between CW and LCS (P<0.01), CW and FD (P<0.01), and a significant negative correlation between CW and CVDIA(P<0.05).In this study, 13 microsatellite markers were used and 9 of them displayed polymorphism. The BM6438, BM6506 and INRA011 were medium polymorphic markers, the others were high polymorphic markers. CSSM11, BM0148 and MAF064 had the most observational alleles, 8 ; and CSSM11 had the most effective alleles, 5.48. The hightest value of H and PIC belonged to CSSM11, 0.818 and 0.793 respectively. Average value of No, Ne, H and PIC were 5.9, 3.24, 0.618 and 0.585, respectively.A model was used to analyze the associations between economic traits and markers by SAS statistic software. The results showed that herd had most significant effect on (BW) and (BW) (P<0.01, P<0.01), nonsignificant effect on others traits (P>0.05).There were significant difference on LCS among different genotypes of BMS2782 and IDVGA64 (P<0.05), and significant difference on CW among different genotypes of LSCV13 (P<0.05). Multiple range compare with least square mean of markers indicated that FF,CF and AC at BMS2782 locus and AD at IDVGA64 locus were favorable genotypes for LCS; BB at LSCV13 was favorable genotypes for CW.
