Red Turpentine Beetle(RTB,Dendroctonus valens),as an invasive species,severely occurred in Shanxi,Shanxi,Henan and Hebei Provinces in China since 1998.Its main host species is native pine Pinus tabuliformis Carr.This study is to determine the effective of non-host volatile that are on the host selection course,We designed five steps to screen active ingredient.First of all,we investigate the the break out region in shanxi Province, choieed broadleaf to test behavior responee,collection by head-space,qualitative analysis by GC-MS,confirmed non-host volatile component.then put up EAG to RTB with standard sample,received relative value of eleven chemistry physical,followed bioassay,tested RTB with different concentration gradient standard sample,screen out a few chemistry physical that has avoid effective.Finally was field bioassay furthermore confirm avoid effective of non-host volatiles.The concrete results of the study are as follows:1.we choiced the nonhost plant to test behavior response on RTB,the result showed that nonhost plant has avoide effective on RTB.2.24 compounds are analysized by TCT-GC/MS in the non-host shrub,mainly include hydroearbon,alcohols,aldehydes,ketones,ester and terpenoids.the content of ketones in the volatiles are high;20 compounds are analysized by elution-GC/MS in the non-host shrub,mainly include hydrocarbon,alcohols,aldehydes,ketones,ester and terpenoids.the content of ester compound in the volatiles are high;terpenoids compounds.are secondly.3.Measuration EAG on RTB male and female adult with eleven standard sample,gaind relative value,EAG relative response value no significant difference,and trans-2-hexenal is high,secondly is ethanol.4.Test behavior response of eleven standard sample concentration gradient by Y-olfactometer on RTB.the bioassay research indicates that eis-2-hexen-1-ol(0.1%), trans-2-hexen-1-o1(0.1%),eis-3-hexen-1-o1(0.1%)and 3-carene mix has avoid effective on RTB;trans-2-hexeal(1%),salilaldehyde(l%)and 3-carene mix has avoid effective on RTB;benzaldehyde(0.1%or1%)and 3-carene mix has avoid effective on RTB,but ethanol(1%or 10%)has synergism5.In the open carried bioassay with self-regulating rotor thap,the bioassay research indicates that only f(ethanol)allure and contrast fall short of different significant,others attain significant.differentCompared both side of rotor trap on female,nohy aldehyde,3-octanol,ethanol, thans-2-hexenal,salialdehyde attain significant.different,compared both side of rotor trap on male 3-octanol,trans-2-hexanal attain significant different..Compared male and female on treatment has no significant.different,Compared male and female on contrast, 3-octanol,trans-2-hexenal,salialdyhyde attain significant.different,its just with female search host in time...
