The slow seedlings growth is the primary problem in seedling production of Picea asperata. Light supplement can efficiently promote the seedlings growth and improve the efficiency of seedling cultivation.There maybe exist difference among different species and provenances of Picea asperata to different light sources and light measurements. In this article, in order to get the easiest popularized supplemental light system, seven succeeded introduced species and provenances of two species thereinto with different light sources and light supplement measures were compared. The results showed that the growth period of Picea asperata can be prolonged with light treatment, the biomass was exceeded 113.47% to 546.84% compared with control. It reduced the breeding cycle 3~4 years compared with the normal breeding method. The affection of different species and provenances of Picea asperata to different light sources was diverse. Among these different light sources, the dysprosium lamp was the best choice for the growth. There exists distinct interaction between light treatments of daylight lamp and different species and provenances of Picea asperata. The seedlings supplied with 8 hours light supplement after sunset (the photoperiod was 20 hours) grew better than the others. However, the better light treatment of each specie and provenance of Picea asperata was different, so it is necessary to establish efficient standard of supplemental lighting system when giving light treatment to the seedlings of Picea asperata.
